Pomona, CA - Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 6PM until 9PM, the streets of Downtown Pomona come alive with a diverse celebration of art, culture, music, food, and drink. The Pomona Art Walk has been a staple in the City of Pomona for over 20 years. It has most recently been featured this summer on Fox's "Good Day LA" and referred to as a "Cultural Resurgence in the Arts".  Awards? Yeah, they have one of those too. The Pomona Art Walk boasts the title "Best Art Walk" as voted by the Inland Empire Weekly in 2013; Even though Pomona is actually located in Los Angeles County! Talk about being a popular street festival!   arts colony The Pomona Art Walk is held in the heart of the Downtown Pomona district and features many established as well as emerging artists and exhibits. The largely diverse artistic community showcases over 3 dozen galleries with an array of art that is sure to please whatever your artistic tastes may be. Artist's latest exhibits range from paintings, photography, and mixed media to ceramics, fiber, and jewelry! These cutting edge and vibrant works of art and exhibits are completely FREE to enjoy. There are also poetry slams and many of the shops and restaurants in the downtown area stay open late for all the fun and festivities.   While the Art Walk ends at approximately 9:00PM, the fun continues at "Re:Fresh", the Pomona Art Walk After Party. Re:Fresh features Beats of All-Nations whose mission statement is based on the preservation of cultural relevance by combining music, arts, and community along with some of the Inland Empire's most relevant DJs who showcase world music. Re:Fresh begins just as the Art Walk ends, there is no cover charge, and it ends at 2AM!   The Pomona Art Walk is a completely free event with free or $1 parking also available. Charlie the Trolley-bus runs from 5:30PM until 9:30PM during the Art Walk and is also free to use.
