Los Angeles Vacations

Landmarks

With countless movies and TV shows filmed here each year, it’s no surprise that many LA sights are world famous. Look for your favorite stars along the Walk of Fame, take a picture in front of the Hollywood Sign, and explore the buzzing nightlife along the storied Sunset Strip. If you’re more into fine art, stop by LACMA or the Getty to admire the collections of priceless pieces.

Beaches

It wouldn’t be California without the beaches, and Los Angeles has some of the country’s most well known. Santa Monica is one of the most popular destinations, thanks in part to its pier and amusement park. For a more offbeat experience, head to Venice Beach, and for a laid-back afternoon, cruise up to Malibu, where you can look up at the beachfront homes of the rich and famous.

Shopping

With so many celebrities hanging around, it’s no surprise that LA is a shopping hotspot. It doesn’t get much more high-end than the designer boutiques of Rodeo Drive, and the nearby Beverly Center provides plenty of other options. The Grove is another popular destination worth visiting, built on the grounds of a historic farmers’ market.

Theme Parks

Los Angeles is home to some impressive theme parks you won’t want to miss. Universal Studios is one of the most impressive, offering spectacular attractions and an insider look into the movie industry. There’s also Six Flags Magic Mountain, home to some of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the world.
