MORENO VALLEY, California, February 6, 2009 - Moreno Valley officials and representatives of Ayres Hotels will officially break ground for the Inland Empire's newest hotel, Ayres Hotel Moreno Valley, next Thursday, February 12 at 11 am.
Set to open in winter 2009, the hotel will be located at 12631 Memorial Way in the TownGate Promenade on the city's west side. Under the direction of Principal Bruce D'Eliscu, the hotel is being built by Ayres Hotels, a family-owned chain of European-style boutique hotels headquartered in Costa Mesa, California.
"Despite these challenging economic times, we are fortunate to have the resources to move ahead with construction of the hotel and are pleased that we can have a positive effect on the local economy," said D'Eliscu. The hotel is expected to employ a staff of approximately 50. Restaurants and retailers locating nearby the hotel site include Portillo's, Famous Dave's BBQ, Carino's Italian Grill, On the Border and Red Lobster restaurants, as well as Sports Authority.
In traditional Ayres style, the four-story hotel will feature 127 well-appointed guestrooms with special touches like exclusive Ayres Dream Sleeper pillow-top mattresses with triple sheeting, plus flat screen televisions, complimentary high speed Internet access, microwaves, refrigerators, luxuriously appointed bathrooms and more.
The amenity-packed property also features a spacious lobby with fireplace, a business center, meeting or event space, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a heated swimming pool and spa.Parking is free.
Among the environmentally friendly practices planned for the hotel will be using biofiltration whenever possible in landscaping to accomplish storm water management objectives, minimizing water runoff by using pervious pavements and infiltration, and planting mature trees to reduce cooling costs by shading buildings and reducing ambient temperatures.
The company also plans on installing a state-of-the-art energy management system within guestrooms, using fluorescent lighting whenever possible to ensure maximum energy efficiency along with improved lighting for guests, and installing water-saving showerheads.
The hotel will also have a convenient recycling program in place with recycle containers in guestrooms, offices and public areas, so that guests and staff can easily participate.
