What time is check in/check out? Is there early check in/late check out available?

Guest may check in any time after 3:00 pm. Check out is at 12:00 pm. Yes, for a nominal fee of $30 + tax, guests may check in early at 11:00 am or check out later at 3:00 pm.Call the front desk for availability. 619-445-5800 Ext: 0

What is your cancellation policy?

Room reservations must be cancelled 24 hours prior to scheduled check-in time of 3:00 pm to avoid a cancellation fee of the first night’s room & tax, unless booking a non-refundable reservation/rate plan, in which case, the reservation is non-refundable and may not be modified. If your reservation is booked through a third party, cancelations must abide by their policy. To cancel your reservation, please call the hotel 619-445-5800 at or email us at [email protected].

Do you charge at the time of booking?

All reservations require a guarantee by credit card with a valid expiration date. Rooms are not pre-paid in advance at the time of booking unless otherwise noted on the reservation. The name on the credit card must match your government issued identification at check-in and cover the full room and tax amount + incidentals.

How much do you hold at the time of check in?

At check-in, a physical credit card with an EMV chip is required to cover a $50 hold per stay for an incidentals deposit. The deposit is released at midnight after the check-out date and typically takes 3-10 business days to reflect in your bank account. A cash deposit of $125 is also accepted as a form of payment.

What is needed to reserve a room?

Guarantee Policy: All reservations require a guarantee by credit card with valid expiration date. The name on the credit card must match your government issued ID at check-in and cover the full room and tax amount + incidentals.  No cash deposits are accepted. Rooms are not pre-paid in advance at the time of booking. Should you like to pre-pay for your room, or pay for another individual, please contact the hotel directly ahead of time to obtain a credit card authorization form that will need to be filled out and faxed or emailed back to the hotel.

Is there a parking fee?

Parking is complimentary at Ayres Lodge in Alpine.

Do you offer complimentary breakfast?

Yes, we offer a complimentary full American breakfast served from 5:00 am – 9:00 am Monday through Friday and 5:00 am - 10:00 am on the weekends. The buffet-style breakfast includes freshly cooked eggs, potatoes, sausage or bacon, pancakes or French toast, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, muffins, juice, and coffee.

Is the hotel pet friendly?

Yes. We welcome well-mannered dogs and cats.

Pet Fees:

  • $60 non-refundable fee per stay
  • Additional charges will be assessed for any pet-related damages to the room, in public areas, or on the grounds of the hotel
  • Unregistered pets are subject to a fine of $125

Pet Policy

  • Maximum 2 Pets
  • Pets are allowed in standard guestrooms only
  • Pets may not be left unattended in guestrooms
  • Pets must be leashed or held in public spaces

Service Animals:

  • Ayres Hotels complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and state/local laws regarding Service Animals.
  • Guests traveling with a Service Animal will not be charged a pet fee. Charges may be incurred, however, should a Service Animal damage or soil the Hotel.
  • Per the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Emotional Support Animals (ESA) do not qualify as Service Animals as they have not been trained to perform a specific job or task.
  • Emotional Support Animals (ESA) will be charged the standard pet fee according the hotels policy. To learn more, please defer to the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) website

Is this a smoke free property?

Smoking policy: Hotel is non-smoking. A $125 fee per occurrence will apply.

Does this hotel have a shuttle?

The Viejas Shuttle Schedule is:

Sunday – Thursday:

Pick up at Ayres: 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, and 7:30pm
Returns: 1:15pm, 4:15pm, 7:15pm, and the last return at 11:30pm.

Friday and Saturday:

Pick up at Ayres: 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, 7:30pm, and 10:30pm.
Returns: 1:15pm, 4:15pm, 7:15pm, 10:15pm, and last return at 1:15am

What type of amenities does this property have?

We offer complimentary full American breakfast, parking, and Wi-Fi. We also offer an extensive fitness center, heated pool, Jacuzzi, bar-b-que grill, and fire pit. In-room amenities include Ayres Elevated signature toiletries, coffeemaker, desk and ergonomic, microwave, and a personal refrigerator.
