Known for their top film selections and ongoing pouring of delicious drinks, the Ricardo Montalbán Theatre hosts Los Angeles’ most acclaimed outdoor film ambiance with its rooftop view of the city.
There is no need to even bring your own blanket or chair! The Rooftop Film Club gives guests their very own comfortable lawn chair and blankets on request for these brisk, October evenings in order to have a comfy movie experience. The theatre also hands out a set of wireless headphones instead of needing to listen to the film over loudspeakers. This way, you do not need to worry about missing a single word!
“Rooftop Film Club takes advantage of LA's beautiful weather by screening outdoor movies from spring to fall,” wrote Erin Kuschner, a reviewer on TimeOut.com. “There are some serious perks to this event - your own set of headphones, comfy chairs, blankets, food and drink. It's like having a screening room in your own house...but you're on a Hollywood rooftop. I saw Sunset Boulevard here and it was a blast.”
Its second season of film screening ends at the end of the month, so make sure not to miss the opportunity before it ends until next year. The Rooftop Film Club is ending its reclaimed season on a climatic note and preparing for Halloween with an all-star horror film line-up.
Upcoming films at the rooftop theatre include:
- Wednesday, October 19th at 8 p.m. – American Psycho
- Thursday, October 20th at 8 p.m. – 20 Feet from Stardom
