There’s a reason why some of the greatest love stories of all time all begin and end with Disney. Disneyland can be a fairytale for so many, but it is also the place for couples of all ages to find their happy ever after. Here’s a guide for couples to have a romantic getaway at the magical Disneyland Resort.
Dine by candlelight at some of the park’s most romantic restaurants: Whether they’re five-star restaurants or just simple dining venues with spectacular, romantic charm, there are plenty of fine dining restaurants to take your other-half on a memorable date. A few of these spots are Blue Bayou with a waterfront view, the upscale dining experience at Carthay Circle, Napa Rose in the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel.
Cheers over a charming cocktail and a perfect view: While Disneyland Park itself is completely dry, Disney California Adventure, Disney-owned hotels, and Downtown Disney all offer an array of adult cocktails, beers, and wines. Ayres Hotel’s Blog previously wrote an entire catalog of great spots to grab a cocktail, but here are just a few of our favorites which include a romantic view: Al Fresco Tasting Terrace, Cove Bar, and Flo’s V8 Café.
Step foot in a fairy tale scene: There are so many romantic spots with enchanted views throughout Disneyland Resort. Some favorite suggestions to take your loved one include Snow White Grotto (and make a wish while you’re there), Mark Twain Riverboat, New Orleans Square, Tarzan’s Treehouse, and Rancho Del Zocalo Restaurante. At the restaurant, make sure to snag a table by the fountain for a more authentic cantina setting.
Witness some of Disney’s signature displays: Watching fireworks splash the sky before your eyes with the love of your life will be a romantic memory that neither of you will ever want to forget. Throughout the year, Disneyland hosts various fireworks displays, such as Fantasy in the Sky, the 4th of July display, Halloween Screams, and others. And of course, there’s the famous, beloved World of Color Spectacular, where Disney characters spring to life among a beautiful display of vibrant colors and lights at Disney California Adventure
