Disneyland's Halloween Time

About 5 year(s) ago by Hotel
This October, the Disneyland Resort of Southern California presents their "Halloween Time" celebration. The entire resort is festooned with Halloween decorations starting at the entrance gates. Main Street is decked out in orange and yellow garland, with over 300 unique hand carved pumpkins for the Pumpkin Festival. Town Square, at the end of Main Street, holds a 16-foot tall Mickey Mouse shaped jack-o-lantern which seems to be the most popular of all the beautifications. Even the characters are in the Halloween spirit and are wearing their own unique Halloween costumes.

Head to the Halloween Carnival at Big Thunder Ranch in Frontierland for some spooky encounters. At the Magic Cauldron sideshow you can cast a magic spell and conjure up a Disney Villain, who are patiently waiting to meet their next victim. The Big Thunder Ranch Halloween Round Up also has pumpkin carvers, Halloween crafts, treats, and carnival games. Billy Hill and the Haunted Hillbillies provide special entertainment while children can make their own Halloween mask.

Not only are the park and characters in spirit for the holiday, but so are the rides! The Haunted Mansion is transformed into Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, adding a wicked Halloween twist to a classic ride. While Space Mountain is converted to Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, launching you into a haunted section of the universe, full of special effects set to a soundtrack just for the holiday.

Mickey's Halloween Party is a "private" event in which tickets are for purchase. The party happens on Tuesday, Fridays, and Halloween night. The tickets grant access to attractions, seating for the exclusive Halloween Screams Fireworks show, and Halloween dance parties like the Monsters U Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. Mickey's Hide-and-Go-Treat Trails provide access to areas of the park guests have never had a chance to explore before; a variety of chocolates and healthy treats like dried fruit and carrots will be passed out along the trails. At Mickey's Costume Party Cavalcade join your favorite Disney Characters all dressed up for the holiday in a haunted musical Cavalcade down Main Street.

Floats celebrate the fun of dressing up for Halloween and a special Haunted Castle Float will feature Mickey himself with countless creepy crawlers! The Disneyland Resort definitely goes all out for the "Halloween Time" celebration and is an entertaining alternative to trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. After the spooky good time, continue the fun at the luxurious accommodations of Ayres Hotel Anaheim or Ayres Inn Orange. Don't forget to arrive in costume!
