About 2 year(s) ago by Ayres Hotels

The world-famous 128th Rose Parade will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017. The televised event will feature floral floats, spirited marching bands and high-stepping equestrian units along the 5 ½-mile route down Colorado Boulevard. Experience in person the magic of New Year’s Day in an unrivaled celebration, exclusive to the streets of Pasadena, California.

It's a celebration more than a century old. It’s a festival of flowers, music and sports unequaled anywhere else in the world. It's America's favorite New Year Celebration, and a salute to the community spirit and love of pageantry that have thrived in Pasadena for more than 100 years.

The 5 ½-mile Rose Parade route begins at the corner of Green Street and Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena. The parade travels north on Orange Grove at a leisurely 2 1/2-mile per hour pace and then turns east onto Colorado Boulevard, where the majority of the parade viewing takes place. Near the end of the route, the parade turns north onto Sierra Madre Boulevard and concludes at Villa Street.

Purchase reserved grandstand seating for this year’s Rose Parade through Sharp Seating Company, the official grandstand seating provider until December 31st.

After the parade from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., walk within feet of the floral and animated masterpieces parked along Sierra Madre and Washington boulevards. Come rain or shine, take a closer look at the design and workmanship that went into each float entry and discover more about the float process from Tournament volunteers, “white suiters,” on hand. Entrance to Post Parade is located at the corner of Sierra Madre & Washington Boulevards in Pasadena, California. Admission to the post-parade’s showcase of floats is $13 per person.
