Come celebrate Mardi Gras at San Diego’s historic Gaslamp on Fat Tuesday, February 28th. This nationally recognized event boasts extravagant floats, live music, DJ’s, exceptional entertainment and 20,000 other revelers to celebrate with! The 2017 San Diego Mardi Gras Masquerade Parade & Celebration promises to surpass past years’ celebrations: the floats will be more elaborate, the music will be even more contagious, and the parade’s finale will conclude the event in an unforgettable manner.
The festivities begin on February 25th with the Big Easy Bites & Booze Tour. From 1-5pm, this tasting event allows you to indulge in an abundance of Mardi Gras inspired bites and intoxicating cocktails throughout downtown San Diego. Food and drinks will be offered at over twenty locations, and as you embark on this tasty tour, be sure to collect beads from each venue so you are fully decorated for Tuesday’s celebration. If you collect ten beads, you will obtain access to the exclusive rooftop after party following this event. Tickets for this delicious, self-guided tour begin at $25.
There will also be a series of lively performances at the venue’s three stages:
● King Club Stage: featuring performances by Diamond Pistols, Bakes, Ciress, Contrvbvnd, Boys Don’t Disco, Hot Fire, and DJ IDEAL.
● Krewe De Vieux Stage: featuring performances by Hickies and Dry Humps, Eric Medina, and Baile Do Victinho.
● Canal Street Stage: featuring performances by Yodah, Christopher London, DJ Kurty, and Wolfgang Alexander.
Tickets to the Mardi Gras festivities are $35 for general admission and $90 for the VIP package until February 26th. The VIP package allows you to watch the Mardi Gras parade from the VIP viewing area. With this package, you will also have access to exclusive entertainment, seven complimentary drinks (three in the VooDoo Lounge and one at each of the following locations: Coyote Ugly Saloon, Henry’s Pub, Casablanca Lounge, and The Field Irish Pub), $1 off drinks from the VIP Bar, access to VIP restrooms, and complimentary beads to get you in the Mardi Gras spirit!
