The 2018 Monster Jam returns with more stunts, more competitors, and more fan events. Make sure you come to the Angel Stadium of Anaheim from February 24th to 25th to witness all the action!
Ten feet tall, twelve feet wide, seventeen feet long and twelve thousand pound monster trucks are revved up and ready to burn some rubber during the weekend’s event. There will also be all-terrain vehicles -- ATVs and Speedsters -- that are built for handling rough terrain and obstacles. This year’s Monster Jam drivers are ready to perform amazing tricks that will leave both the audience and judges in awe. From 360-degree flips to sky wheelies -- when a truck stands straight up at a 90 degree angle with the front tires in the air -- there will be plenty of tricks to keep you on the edge of your seat.
This year’s event will feature the following trucks and drivers:
l Barbarian driven by Devin Jones
l Black Stallion driven by Mike Vaters
l Bounty Hunter driven by Austin Minton
l Dragon driven by Jon Zimmer
l Gas Monkey Garage driven by BJ Johnson
l Grave Digger driven by Randy Brown
l Hotsy driven by Kurt Kraehmer
l Iron Outlaw driven by Mike Christensen
l Overkill Evolution driven by Mike Vaters II
l Rammunition driven by Matt Dishman
l Scooby-Doo driven by Steven Sims Jr.
l Son-uva Digger driven by Ryan Anderson
l VP Racing Fuels' Mad Scientist driven by Lee O'Donnell
l Xtreme Diesel driven by Dave Radzierez
Many of the Monster Jam events will be preceded by a pre-show Pit Party, which gives fans the opportunity to meet the drivers and get autographs and pictures. Admission for the Pit Parties must be purchased separately. New to the 2018 Monster Jam is the Pit Party Early Access Pass. The pass provides early entry to the Pit Party (one hour before the scheduled start) and serves as the regular Pit Party pass.
After the Pit Party and opening ceremonies take place, the Monster Jam competition begins with the following events:
l Racing (Timed): An obstacle course competition where the fastest to complete the course is the winner. It showcases the driver’s ability and the truck’s agility.
l Two-Wheel Skills Challenge: Monster Jam drivers will have multiple opportunities to perform the best stunt, bringing at least two wheels into the air. This is a judged competition.
l Donuts: Trucks perform in designated flat areas with the objective to rotate the truck as many times and as quickly as possible. This is a judged competition
l Racing (Head -to-Head): Competitors report to a starting line. On a green signal, the trucks head along a prescribed course to a finish line with first to legally complete the course advancing in competition. Winners will advance until two trucks remain with the finals determining the racing champion. Racing may be preceded by qualifying to establish brackets.
l Freestyle: Competitors perform tricks and stunts throughout the floor area in a designated time. This is a judged competition.
Best of all, while you watch the competition, you can also act as a judge! Fans are encouraged to use their mobile device to log into www.JudgesZone.com to score the competitors!
