The L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Festival returns for another year of celebration. The festival will take place February 24th to 25th and will feature events like the 20/40 mile bike ride, the 5k run/walk, the 10k run/walk, the Kiddie Run, and the Doggie Paw’er Walk. Whether you plan to participate in or spectate on the fun, make sure you do not miss this event.
The L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Festival is one of the largest and longest-running Lunar New Year charity runs in the nation. But even more impressive is the fact that it is 100% volunteer organized and 100% of net proceeds are reinvested locally. Since its inception, the L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Run Committee, Inc. has contributed over $500,000 to local elementary schools and non-profit organizations.
Helping a worthy cause is not the only great reason to participate in this event. Participants who participate in one of the events will receive free admission to the Firecracker Festival, a t-shirt, a finisher’s medal, a free carbo-load meal, refreshments along the course, and a goodie bag. There will also be carnival games and a petting zoo for all Kiddie Run participants to enjoy. If you wish to register, the prices for each event are as follows:
