The Hollywood Christmas Parade

About 1 year(s) ago by Ayres Hotels

Putting the “tinsel” into Tinsel town, the 85th annual Hollywood Christmas Parade is a star-studded event that’s sure to put you in the holiday spirit. Join this year’s Grand Marshal, Olivia Newton-John, as she leads a procession of celebrities, festive holiday floats, marching bands and massive parade floats of your favorite characters. Perfect for the entire family, the 3.2-mile Christmas parade proceeds down both famed Holly-wood and Sunset Boulevards, making the event both a sightseeing adventure and memorable holiday cele-bration.

A blend of holiday and Hollywood, the Hollywood Christmas Parade is a Christmas celebration with your favorite performers and celebrities. This year’s attendees will be treated to world-class performances by Taylor Hicks, Clay Aiken, Sean Kingston, LeAnn Rimes, Richie Sambora, India Arie, Daughtry and more. Sing along with the Band of Merry Makers performing your holiday favorites, and the kids will love the gi-gantic floats that tower over the boulevards, including Kermit, Scooby Doo, Mighty Mouse, the Cat and the Hat, and, of course, the Grinch.

Held this year on November 27th, the Hollywood Christmas Parade begins at 5 p.m. Unlike other, colder hol-iday parades, attendees get to celebrate the holiday season in the perfect evening weather of Southern Cal-ifornia. For optimal views of the Christmas parade, reserve a seat on the viewing grandstand, which runs along both sides of Hollywood Boulevard.
