Don't miss the Orange International Street Fair which starts August 31 and runs through Labor Day weekend. This annual event, inspired by the Street Fair of 1910, was founded in 1973 as a way to celebrate the one hundredth year for The City of Orange. The fair was so successful it became an annual Labor Day weekend tradition.
The Orange International Street Fair is located near Plaza Park in the historic downtown district of Orange, where vendors take over the streets with culturally diverse food, music, and dancing. This year the theme of the fair is "Globally Good," where 15 countries are represented throughout the city streets.
The event is packed full of fun for everyone including arts and crafts booths, a children's section, commercial and community booths, and tons of food representing the participating countries. And don't miss the main stage line-up including music and dancing from a variety of talented, local artists.
The fair starts on Friday, August 31 from 5-10 pm and continues on Saturday, September 1 from 10 am to 10 pm and Sunday, September 2 from 10 am to 10 pm. Parking can be difficult, so definitely wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk several blocks. There are several public parking lots in the area for a fee and there is also parking on the nearby residential streets.
