Redlands will light the way this year at their 29th annual Christmas Parade. It's a magical event that takes place every year in Historic Downtown Redlands. This citywide event brings people together from throughout the Inland Empire for an exciting celebration of the holidays. Join the thousands of spectators lining the streets to view this spectacular parade.
Presented by the Noon Kiwanis Club of Redland and the City of Redlands, this event is one of the few nighttime parades in the Inland Empire. The parade will start at 6:00 p.m. on December 1 with more than a dozen marching bands, scores of brilliantly lit floats, and hundreds of participants, including carolers, local sports teams, scout troops, equestrians, classic cars, and more. If it happens to rain on December 1, the alternate date is scheduled for December 8.
This year the theme of the parade is "A Citrus Heritage Christmas" to honor the historic citrus groves which are an integral part of the fabric of Redlands. If you're unable to make it to the parade, no worries! The parade will be televised LIVE on Redlands TV-3 and may also be ordered on DVD for $20.
The parade will start on Citrus Avenue, near the Redlands Mall, and continue east to 8th Street, then head west on East State Street and conclude back on Citrus in front of the mall. Parade goers are encouraged to dress warmly and arrive early to find parking and a spot to sit on the street. Be sure to bring chairs, blankets and maybe some hot chocolate and candy canes to enjoy during the parade.
If you're looking for a place to stay, be sure to make reservations at the Ayres Hotel Redlands.
