The highly anticipated NBA All-Star extravaganza is returning for another year of fan celebration, celebrity games, and all things basketball.
The event will begin at noon on February 16th and will continue until February 18th. The events will be hosted at various Los Angeles venues including the Staples Center and the Verizon Up Arena at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Tickets are available now on NBATickets.com and start at just $10.
The weekend will tip off in a very exciting way. For the first time ever, on February 16th the NBA will offer fans the chance to see the league’s top first and second year players prepare for that evening’s showcase with the Mountain Dew Kickstart Rising Stars Practice at the Verizon Up Arena at the Los Angeles Convention Center at 9:30am. Later that day, fans can expect some of the biggest stars from television, film, music, and sports to head out onto the court for the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game at 4:00pm. The final event of the night, the Mountain Dew Kickstart Rising Stars, will take place at 6:00pm.
The excitement will continue on February 17th as fans witness the entire NBA All-Star squad train for Sunday’s game during the NBA All-Star Practice at the Verizon Up Arena at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The league will also host the NBA G League International Challenge presented by Kumho Tire on February 18th at Verizon Up Arena at the Los Angeles Convention Center, in which the Mexican National Team will compete against stars from the NBA G League – the NBA’s official minor league.
This year’s event promises to offer even more ways for fans to experience all the NBA All-Star action. For instance, the NBA Crossover at The Majestic Downtown will be open February 16th through February 18th and escort visitors through a narrative that brings to life the music, fashion, art, technology and entertainment that surround today’s game. Fans will have the unique opportunity to engage with the league through customized activations including virtual reality experiences, apparel customization, art and memorabilia displays, photos with the Larry O’Brien Trophy and panel discussions with NBA players and talent.
