September is the month of music festivals in Southern California. Just when you thought summer was winding down, headliners are gearing up for fun in the sun with two diverse music festivals…

KAABOO Del Mar Festival starts September 14-17 for another successful season at the Del Mar Racetrack and adjacent fairgrounds. Headliners include Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons, and Katy Perry. You can also catch Robert Plant, Blondie, Wiz Khalifa, Stone Temple Pilots, Cake, Jewel, Alice in Chains, and so many more! The event will also feature a comedy roster including Craig Ferguson, Kevin Nealon, Nick Offerman, Whitney Cummings.

Tickets for the event are on sale and include single day and three-day passes for general admission. A limited number of VIP passes are also available, including the Ultimate Hang Pass which adds every perk you can imagine. There are also tons of delicious food options and intriguing cocktails, with contemporary art and late-night dance parties.

Ohana Music Festival will return for the third year to the sandy shores of Doheny State Beach in Dana Point on September 28-30. This year headliners include Eric Church, Eddie Vedder, Mumford & Sons, Norah Jones, Beck and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Other notable acts include Switchfoot, Young the Giant, Liz Phair, Johnny Marr, Amos Lee, Nikki Lane, and others.

This three-day event offers single day or weekend passes and a limited number of VIP passes are still available, which offer lounge seating, hammocks, complimentary food and drinks, and private restrooms. General admission allows roaming throughout the lush grass areas of Doheny State Beach and there are a variety of artisan food options from local restaurants and food trucks…along with craft beer, wine and signature cocktails.

In addition to a full weekend of diverse music, Ohana is donating a portion of the proceeds to the San Onofre Foundation, a non-profit organization who works with the California State Parks to develop, preserve, and enhance California coastal parks.
