The Festival opens on Thursday, July 12 at the historic Olivas Adobe with American Gypsy Jazz featuring star guitarist John Jorgenson.
Friday, July 13- the Ventura College Performing Arts Center is hosting Latin Grammy-winner and “fire breathing guitar hero” vocalist and composer Diego Garcia (“El Twanguero”)
The festival is also hosting a four-course English tea at the Ventura Pierpont Inn. This “Tea & Trumpets” event will feature the Festival Brass Quintet, complete with wit, humor and fanfare.
Saturday, July 14- Don’t miss the festival headliner, Pink Martini, at the Oxnard PACC for a “Rollicking, multi-lingual, around the world musical adventure.”
Sunday, July 15- Close your weekend at the Ventura College Performing Arts Center with the dynamic classic music ensemble, Trio Celeste.
Wednesday, July 18- Join the free public concert at Mission Park in Ventura featuring Jarabe Mexicano, an electrifying mariachi-meets-American classics ensemble.
Friday, July 20- Kick off the weekend at the Ventura College Performing Arts Center with the celebrated and imaginative performance from Akropolis Reed Quintet.
Saturday, July 21- The stunning singer-song-writer Perla Batalla will perform at the Ventura College Performing Arts Center and present her “Frida Kahlo song cycle,” which was inspired by the works of Kahlo and Diego Rivera.
Sunday, July 22- The festival concludes at the Ventura College Performing Arts Center with the Malashock Dance featuring the Pas de deux series, which masterfully depicts the ups, downs and sideways representation of relationships.
