Huntington Dog Beach
Located along Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint Avenue and 21st Street, Dog Beach in Huntington is at the top of the list. The beach is open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is known among pet owners for its friendly vibe and cleanliness. Although dogs must technically be leashed, the ordinance is generally only enforced for loose and dangerous pets. Dogs and their humans can swim, surf, run and play all day long.
Newport allows your leashed friends on the ocean and bay front beaches before 10 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m. There are miles of boardwalk to explore on the Newport Beach Peninsula or head to the most popular dog-friendly beach in Newport, located on a thin strip of land at the mouth of the Santa Ana River channel.
This beach offers breathtaking views of the coastline and leashed pets are allowed on the beach between 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m. This is a great spot for your furry friend to take you for a walk on the sand or along the pavement walkway. There are also benches scattered throughout the area to take in spectacular views of the sunset.
The coastline of Laguna Beach spans over 7 miles and includes 27 beaches and coves, most of which are pet-friendly. Pups are allowed to take a romp on the sand any time of day, except during the busy summer months when specific hours apply. From June 15 through September 10, your canine companions are allowed on a leash before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. Be sure to check out the specific rules posted at the entrance of every beach or cove.
