With so many Ayres Hotels close to fabulous shopping, how could we not mention the infamous shopping holiday, Black Friday?! This year, the National Retail Federation estimates holiday retail sales will increase by 3.9%; this could very well be due to countless stores now opening at 8PM Thanksgiving Day. Is this blasphemy for introducing commercialism on a holiday all about giving thanks? While we all love to veg out after the huge feast that takes place that day and night, a little cardio never hurt anyone. Stores all around the United States are preparing for the anticipated date, with giant malls being no exception. South Coast Plaza, by the Ayres Hotel & Suites Costa Mesa, calls their Black Friday, “Fab Friday.” The high-end shopping center plans on arming themselves with extra concierges with complimentary bottled water and additional valets to reduce traffic difficulties. While Fabulous Friday may have preferred customers coming to sip cappuccinos and champagne in the “penthouse” of the “Holiday Suite” which includes store fronts like Christian Louboutin and Oscar de la Renta, the special day is truly for those looking to score amazing deals. The bargain craving is precisely why discounts will be present at stores like the Gap, H&M, Macy’s, and Nordstrom. The Ontario Mills Mall, adjacent to the Ayres Suites Ontario at the Mills Mall and Ayres Inn & Suites Ontario at the Mills Mall, will be open Thanksgiving Day at 8PM. Meaning, 96% of their 200 stores will be open two hours earlier than last year. By Ayres Hotel Chino Hills, the Shoppes at Chino Hills will also have stores open on Thanksgiving Day but will have several opening at midnight as well. The radio station KOLA 99.9FM in San Bernardino, will host a live broadcast from the Shoppes and will hand out 300 bags to people in line containing various deals and a gift card ranging from $10 to $100! The Outlets at Orange, only blocks away from the Ayres Inn Orange and Ayres Hotel Anaheim, hosts its annual Black Friday Frenzy at midnight. “Everybody eats their Thanksgiving dinner, takes a little nap, and hits the ground running to get the best deals,” said Amanda Kvigne the Outlets at Orange Director of Marketing & Business Development. One of the largest outlet malls in Orange County, prices are reduced even further when Black Friday hits the Outlets at Orange; making this outdoor mall a label hugger’s paradise. Near the Ayres Hotel Laguna Woods, the Irvine Spectrum Center will have all of South Orange County flocking for designer deals. All shoppers who spend $500 or more enter an hourly giveaway to win a Fiat 500 or a $1,000 shopping spree. The Irvine Spectrum Center will also have free valet, ice skating, giant wheel & carousel rides, music, and more! While Thanksgiving is about spending time with family and good food, families are choosing to spend their holiday a little differently nowadays. Ayres Hotels provide a safe haven for before and after the Black Friday shopping madness; with multiple locations near bargain hunter destinations it would be senseless to wait outside in the cold for your Black Friday deals.
