Lavender Festival 2018
Check out the largest organic lavender farm in Southern California at the 14th Annual Lavender Festival hosted by 123 Farms. Located in Cherry Valley, California, this festival offers a plethora of activities for the entire family. There’s no shortage of lavender here…stroll through the 20 acres of organic lavender fields and explore all the family-friendly activities.
Take a horse-drawn wagon tour through the lavender fields and enjoy the live music and garden workshops offered daily. You can also watch the Lavender Oil Distillation Demonstrations and participate in a variety of workshops and lectures, featuring health and well-being topics.
Also, don’t miss the Organic Galleries. They boast 12 rustic boutiques, where you can shop, sample lavender honey, and learn about how wool is processed.
Kids activities??? There are plenty! Kids will enjoy making crafts, exploring the petting zoo, horseback riding, lavender crown making and face painting.
Enjoy an Afternoon Lavender Tea, held in the outdoor tea garden, complete with lavender champagne and treats. Or you can relax on the lawn and sample the lavender ice cream and cheese cake. They even boast a lavender beer!
Check out a Lavender Cooking Demonstration with Gale Gand. This nationally acclaimed chef offers a one-hour cooking demonstration for $35 per person on Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 11 a.m. Reservations are a must!
In the evening, enjoy their Buffet Dinner, held on Friday and Saturday nights in the beautiful olive gardens adjacent to the lavender fields. The cost is $35 a person and again, reservations are required.
