Live Like A Californian... In Love. A Very Seal Beach Valentine's Day!

About 5 year(s) ago by Hotel
This Valentine’s Day, spend your weekend in the cozy city of Seal Beach. If you need help planning an amazing weekend (attention all guys) then use this guide to show your Valentine how much you love her (ladies don’t hesitate to pass this post along – we promise they want the help!). Start off by making your reservations at the Ayres Hotel Seal Beach for romantic, boutique style accommodations she’ll love. Next, head down the street to Enchanted Florist to place an order for a bouquet of her favorite flowers that can be adorning your guest room when she arrives (note to guys: you DO have to order flowers in advance for Valentine’s Day considering it is their busiest day of the year!) Chocolate never hurt either; have a small box delivered with the flowers! For the rare non--chocolate lover, make a stop at Soma Intimates in the Rossmoor Shopping Center and pick out one of their sumptuous perfumes to make her feel lovely. The Ayres Seal Beach will even add a Champagne package to your reservation upon request. Champagne on ice with glasses will be delivered to your room before you arrive, just ask! Now for your last bit of preparation, find a place for dinner and reserve your table for a worry-- free evening. There are so many wonderful dinner options in the area. Here is a guide for a few of the romantic spots in easy driving distance from our Seal Beach hotel. Right across the street from the Ayres is the famous Spaghettini Grill and Jazz Lounge – reserve your seats and buy tickets in advance for an evening of great food and live jazz entertainment. They also offer some amazing VIP packages in conjunction with the hotel that will bring you face to face with some of today's leading jazz musicians. Up Seal Beach Blvd, The Fish Company has some of the most amazing seafood, a great wine list, and decadent desserts. A bit further up the street, the adorable Shenandoah at the Arbor has the most beautiful outdoor patio shaded by Mulberry trees, complete with sweet lights, koi pond, and heaters. They offer warm apple fritters upon arrival and have a diverse menu with a southern influence. For the sushi lover, Mahe in Seal Beach on Pacific Coast Highway has the freshest sashimi and the most amazing signature sushi list that you can’t get anywhere else. If you’re looking for a cozy, intimate setting with great Italian food, try Buona Gente on 2nd St. in Long Beach. With just a small number of tables, guests get great service and can nestle in for the evening to enjoy the food and ambiance. Whichever dinner option you choose, a stroll down Main Street Seal Beach is a charming way to finish the evening. Along your stroll down the quaint boulevard, pick up two warm lattes at Javatinis and a sticky--sweet cinnamon roll from Sweet Jills to share on a bench overlooking the ocean on the Seal Beach Pier. After a wonderful night’s sleep back at the Ayres Hotel, what could be better than their complimentary hot buffet breakfast in the morning? Possibly only their 12:00pm checkout that allows you plenty of time to pack up without a rush! Follow our easy guide and you are practically guaranteed to impress your Valentine this year. ~ Janelle Kilbane, Ayres Hotel Seal Beach
