Torrance Civic Chorale: Winter Miracles
Located at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, The Torrance Civic Chorale will perform Winter Miracles on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15 at 8 p.m. in the James Armstrong Theatre. With over 90 singers, the Chorale has provided the South Bay with exceptional choral music, instruction, and cultural experience since 1961. Winter Wonderland Spectacular
It's a Santa Claus is Coming to Town Countdown at the Winter Wonderland Spectacular. The City of Hawthorne is celebrating this festive event on Thursday, December 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Memorial Park in Hawthorne. Come dressed in your favorite snow gear to enjoy the snow slide and winter play area. They are also hosting carnival games and prizes, inflatables for kids, and photos with Santa. The cost is $5 for kids and $7 for those over 12.
Manhattan Beach Yuletide 5K
Join the most unusual 5K in Southern California on Saturday, December 22 at 5:30 p.m. Bring the entire family to run, walk or stroll along the sea under the full moon and the lights of the Manhattan Beach Pier. The course will be lit up by glow sticks to guide you along your path. Afterwards, you can stay and play at the restaurants and bars in downtown Manhattan Beach.
Sleepy Hollow Christmas Lights Extravaganza
Every year this quiet neighborhood in south Torrance turns out one of the largest displays of Christmas lights and decorations in the country. Every house in the neighborhood attempts to outdo their neighbor with spectacular holiday decorations. The event takes place behind Pacific Coast Highway near Calle Mayor on Doris Way and Linda Drive. The lights are on display from 6 to 10 p.m. every night until New Year's Day. Don't forget to bring some cash for the holiday snack stands in the neighborhood.
