Hotel Highlights…

Located in the midst of a newly developed destination center is the Ayres Hotel Chula Vista, scheduled to open early 2019. This state-of-the-art location will offer 210 acres of mixed use development including Class A office space, retail stores, parks, bikeways, promenades and public plazas.

Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, guests can expect a hotel experience beyond the ordinary! We’ve thoughtfully selected interior and exterior décor which provides a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Our handcrafted Chula Vista hotel boasts 135 guestrooms where you can relax, unwind and chill out. Our urban ambiance is intensified with full bars in the lobby and outdoor courtyard. The lobby was designed as a giant living room where guests can kick back and connect. In keeping with our new location, near the Chula Vista Athlete Training Center (formerly the Olympic Training Center), guests will find memorabilia in our two-story lobby, celebrating unforgettable Olympic moments.

Our on-site restaurant will offer delicious local, sustainable dishes in a modern and vivacious atmosphere, with an inviting bar offering a wide selection of locally brewed, domestic and international beers and spirits.

You’ll definitely want to check out our amenities. We’ll offer a full service 24/7 gym to maximize your health and wellness needs and an outdoor heated pool, spa and pool bar. Get in a quick work out, grab a drink and relax by the pool to finish your day and catch the sunset.

Need somewhere to hold a business meeting? We are proud to offer countless possibilities for a wide range of small and mid-sized business meetings, professional gatherings, team building experiences, incentives and special events. We will offer a boardroom and over 1200 square feet of meeting space, which may be divided into four separate meeting rooms to provide everything you need for a successful event. Things to do in Chula Vista…

1. Take a Tour at the U.S. Olympic Training Center

This elite, state-of-the-art training facility is located in Chula Vista on 155 acres of land. The complex is used by future Olympic hopefuls to support their training and schedule. Gold, Silver and Bronze public tours of the facility may be reserved in advance and walk-ins are subject to availability. There are also VIP tours available for a private experience. After your tour, check out the Elite Team Shop to purchase a selection of unique Olympic gear and souvenirs.

2. Explore the Living Coast Discovery Center

The center is located in Chula Vista on 3.3 acres of the Sweetwater Marsh National Wildlife park. There are more than 350 native San Diego Bay animal and plant species at the center. You can get up close and personal with the jellies and stingrays or check out the sharks, hawk, owls and green sea turtles. This center provides visitors with an intimate nature experience.

3. Make a Splash at Aquatica

Owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Aquatica is one of the biggest and best waterparks in Southern California. This South-Seas-inspired waterpark features a wide variety of attractions for all ages and swimming abilities, including one which passes by a flamingo habitat. The park is open on select days from May 25-October 28. There are several dining options and wristbands are available, so you can go cashless.

4. See a Show at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre

This 20,500-seat venue is located in Chula Vista and currently owned and operated by Live Nation. The venue is adjacent to Aquatica San Diego and is one of the largest concert locations in San Diego. During the spring, summer and fall, it is used for headliner concerts. Check out Live Nation to see a show during your visit.

5. Watch an OnStage Playhouse Production

The OnStage Playhouse is the only live community theatre in Chula Vista and intimately seats only 60 people. The company operates throughout the entire year with six productions shown each year. This playhouse is popular among the locals and the productions are put on by an all-volunteer cast and crew.

6. Check Out the Chula Vista Marina

Chula Vista’s scenic harbor offers a peaceful atmosphere, swaying palm trees, impressive boats and beautiful sunsets. Take a walk along the bay or grab a bite to eat at the Galley to watch some live entertainment. The harbor includes two marinas, two waterfront parks and is home to the Chula Vista Yacht Club. You can also sign up for a local charter and do some sport fishing, sight-seeing, whale-watching or harbor cruising.
