Shopping and Dining

Port Angeles’ downtown is brimming with joys to discover. From one-of-a-kind boutiques, bookstores and gift shops, to high-end fashion, souvenirs, sporting goods and gifts. And since all that treasure-hunting can really perk up your appetite, you’ll also discover no end of ways to fuel your exploration. Whether you’re in the mood for a French bistro-style experience, Japanese sushi and hibachi, authentic Mexican, or a good old-fashioned gastropub, you’ll find it here.

Arts and Culture

Port Angeles’ sublime serenity and unspoiled beauty have long inspired artists to express themselves through pieces reflective of the area’s evocative nature. We have far more than our fair share of art galleries, public works, art parks and museums as a result. And since the Olympic Peninsula is also particularly rich in First Nations history, you’ll have near-endless opportunities to take in incomparable native art, dance, and culture. Still not satisfied? Hop onto one of Port Angeles’ historic tours, take in a performance at the Port Angeles Community Playhouse, or enjoy the Port Angeles Symphony.

Port Angeles is a city that exists in harmony with its unspoiled surrounding. With no fewer than 45 city parks offering leisure, hiking, and even fishing opportunities, you’re never far from R&R. Nearby Olympic National Park — the northwest’s only World Heritage Site — allows nature lovers to experience no end of adventure within its nearly one million acres of pristine, untouched wilderness. Expect lush vegetation, waterfalls, and even an accessible hot spring.
